Update - Saturday at Home

Well ... we're home. It was a very emotional experience. We've met with hospice nurses -- who already have everything completely set up for us. Most of Barb's family will be visiting with us over the next few days.

Naturally, we're not in a very happy mood. However, the above video did make us laugh. Our employees at Ace Label made it for us.

  1. Gald you guys are home, it is always the right place to be. Happiness in the technical sense is probably too hard to achieve, but maybe peace and contentment are possible, knowing that not just for 6 months, but for 40+years you have done all you could to love each other and your family and were good stewards of every challenge that came before you. I think it is fair to say, that only God knows what the days ahead hold and that Barb has been an overacheiver since the get go - so living each moment, but anticipating more to come, and living them in love is what you have always done and the only thing anyone can do, and perhaps more than many without the sentence that you have been given are able to achieve. While technically I can only call you sister-in-law, as some of your friends have said, you are really a true sister - because you have and had the ability to connect on such a deep level with those around you. Barb, you have always been special, and are today. Love, Julie

  4. Don't know what to say except you are loved and surrounded by a wonderful family. I will always remember our time working together and our long talks about everything.
    Peace and love,
    Rita
You are blessed to have your children and grandchildren by your side during this terrible time
