This week, Barb is going to participate in a low-risk short-term research study on the effect of using donor white blood cells to help reduce/prevent infections -- while her bone marrow is recovering. However, transfusing white blood cells is not a substitute for antibiotics or Barb's bone marrow recovery.
We are not sure if Barb will lose her hair again (she probably will), but for now, she has more hair than our grandson, new granddaughter, and son-in-law -- and me.
