Happy Valentines Day

After taking about 15-20 years for us to appreciate our differences and to stop trying to change each other, I sent this note to Barb on Valentines Day about 20 years ago. I was in France and she was in Minnesota. She had put some chocolate and a sweat card in my suitcase before I left for Paris.

Dear Barb,
Thanks for the chocolate kisses and the card. You have always been the more thoughtful one.

I think that we do complement each other. I know that I feel better when I'm with you. You have made me a better person than I would have been without you.

I look forward to enjoying ourselves around the world as we grow old together.
