Still Good

Still no fevers or infections. So, the doctors will probably back off on some of Barb's antibiotics this week.If she can go another week or so with no infections, she may be able to take a break at home for awhile.

    Keep it up......good eating, walking, positive attitude and with all of us praying and sending positive vibes your way, you will be home soon and Darrell can turn into the super chef at home. Ha Ha!!!

    Hi Barb - That is such good news - we were thrilled to know you are having some victories and OK days.

    I thought of you yesterday while I was doing some research on natural ways to improve bone strength (yes I am getting old!). The article talked about some minerals and then said the best thing was chicken broth made with the whole chicken. It did not mention the special black chickens, but said the marrow from the bones is one of the reasons it is so good for women (men too I suppose). Have you still been getting a good supply?

    Blake and Liza are visiting us today. They were at the Notre Dame game yesterday with a friend. We hope to enjoy and Bear's win together and Blake has a taste for Chicago style pizza.

    We are anxious to enjoy your company. I will check with Darrell in a couple of days to make sure next weekend is a good choice. I wonder though - if we wait 1 more week - if you will be home. What ever is best for you will work for us. In any case, we continue to pour out prayers for you and Darrell too. Love you guys, Julie and Joel
