Bone Marrow Biopsy

Today, Barb had another bone marrow biopsy to determine the results of the Chemo. They push a sharp rod about the size of meat thermometer into her hip and extract bone marrow -- not exactly comfortable even with Morphine. The full tests will be back from the pathology lab on Thursday. However, her Oncologist just called and told us that the preliminary results show no Leukemia cells!!! That's great news, which will hopefully be confirmed on Thursday.

We're thinking about slipping out of the hospital in the freight elevator to Kincaids for nice glass of Chardonnay.

  5. Dear Barb ~~ such good news. You've been a trooper. Thinking of you guys every day. I told Annie on Monday, and I know she has been in touch by phone. I'm hesitant to call quite yet ~~ but just know I think of you daily. Can you have a little celebration with wine in the hospital? Love, Pam
